Für das Artforum wurde im Jahr 2001 erstmalig ein Katalograum vorgesehen. Dafür wurde ein Konzept gesucht, das die Funktionen Katalogpräsentation der Aussteller und Lounge in einen künstlerischen Kontext stellte.
Durch die Anordnung von 80 Neonmodulen in 5 Zeilen zu 16 Spalten konnten einerseits aus den einzelnen Pixel-Icons Worte mit bis zu 6 Buchstaben gebildet werden, andererseits durch Kombination einzelner Zeichen neue Sinnzusammenhänge erzeugt oder Geschichten erzählt werden.

A catalogue room was planned for the Artforum for the first time in 2001. For this, a concept was sought that placed the functions of exhibitor catalogue presentation and lounge in an artistic context.
By arranging 80 neon modules in 5 rows of 16 columns, words with up to 6 letters could be formed from the individual pixel icons on the one hand, and on the other hand new contexts of meaning could be created or stories told by combining individual characters.
